Week 55 in Field!

So much happened this past week!!
I don't even know where to begin sharing...
But hopefully my pictures have captured some of the highlights!

Family Home Evening with active and less-active members, as well as investigators!

Inviting on a SongTaew!

English Class!

Playing pranks on the Elders...hehehehe

Thailand Market Experience for a Greenie!

It's so fluffy, I'm going to dieeeee!!!

On Thursday, my companion and I went to the 100years Market for the first time to eat dinner.
We were just ordering our food, when a little boy who spoke almost perfect English ran up to us to talk to us.
His dad, who explained that his son loved foreigners, invited us to sit at their table and join them for dinner.
We soon found out that this family had plans to come to our English Class on Tuesday, but their car broke down...
But miraculous ran into us at the market that day!
It was their first time having dinner at the 100years Market too!!
As we sat down together with Pop, and his mom and dad, we quickly came to know that they were really interested in learning about our religion too.
Their relative had invited them to another church, but they lived really close to ours and wanted to come and learn!
The following day, they came to our Sports Night, and we were able to testify of the truths of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As we testified, the Spirit was strongly present and both Oom and Gid left happy and interested in learning more!
I cannot express just how grateful I am that Heavenly Father placed these prepared people in our path.
What a beautiful family and what a magnificent miracle they are!!!
I am so excited to get to know them more and share the truths I know will be a huge blessing to their family!

On Friday "morning," we got up at 1am to leave for Bangkok to get Sister Ward's working permit...
It was quite the adventure!
Delicious breakfast waffles and great company made up for how tired we were...
And it was all worth it after we taught Oom and Gid that evening^^

Sauna or Bus?

Sports Night or YSA camp?

feeding fish...

playing with fish...

Sunday was an amazing day!!
First, it was the Primary Presentation!

Second, Sister Booyi's family from Sisaket came to visit me!!!
What a wonderful reunion it was!!!
I am so grateful for their love and for coming all the way to Korat just to see me!!! <3
I love this family so so much!

Finally, we also had a baptism!!!
The Elders' investigator, Milk was baptized!
She's so cute and so full of light!

And then, we helped a member move!

Our Beautiful District Leader!

I think our Elders might just be prettier than us Sisters!

My children.....ahahahahahaha!

Birthday Morning!

I got attacked by Silly String from the Elders.... I feel special!!^^

Matthew 10:39
"He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."
How true this is! And how applicable it is to my mission.
I am not here to better myself or to develop personal skills, but I am here because I love our Heavenly Father and I want to love and serve my brothers and sisters.
As I put my whole heart into this work, I know that Heavenly Father will bless me in miraculous ways...
But, my primary purpose is to serve those around me.
It's the times that I remember this that I am the most happy!!^^
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!!

Week 54 in Field!

Last P-Day for our District!!

MONKEY!

When a missionary forgets his name tag.......

Loi Gratone !
This is a Thai Festival where you "float" away all the bad things and start fresh.
What a magnificent sight it was!
But how much more blessed are we to have the gospel in our lives?
Making floats and sending them off on water won't wash away all our wrongs...
But there is something that can!
Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we really can be cleansed from all our sins!
What a miraculous thing that is!

Eating grasshoppers....

Christmas Tree!

A gift from my awesome 9 year old RC, SPY!

TRANSFERS!

Hanging out outside the office from 3:30am!

And a new district!!
Welcome Elder Stevens!

And a special welcome to our Greenie, Sister Ward!
She's full of so much excitement and spirit!
It's so refreshing to be companions with someone who is so very enthusiastic about the work!

So much excitement!!!

This past week has already been filled with so many miracles!
I am so excited to see how far the Lord will take us this transfer!
I seem to be at a loss for words this week, but I am happy and excited for the transfer!!
I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve my friend, Elder Stevens from the MTC (he was in my Phii Thai group), for the opportunity to be with Sister Ward as her mission takes off and to be with Elder Brown for another transfer!
Korat is definitely being watched over by our loving Heavenly Father.
Miracles fill our every day. As we work diligently serve the Lord, our eyes will be opened to the miracles that constantly surround us!
Life is beautiful! Life is exciting! Life is amazing!!
