Week 66 in Field!

Birthday Celebrations for Elder Brown and Elder Stevens Continued...

On Tuesday, an unexpected call came that I would be moving to a new area for my last four weeks...

It was shocking and disappointing...but I couldn't do much else but pack up...

Saying Goodbye to Hulk who has been my best bud for the majority of my mission was hard... 

Saying goodbyes to investigators and RCs... 

Last meal with my daughter, Sister Ward....

On the morning of transfers, we were the first ones at the office...again haha

Where have I been transferred to? Asoke International Ward! What does that mean? 

My companion and I are in charge of all the foreigners in all of Bangkok except for Chaengwattana, Don Mxang and Pakhret. 

That's a HUGE area...but it also means a lot of freedom :P

And...teaching in English.... 

While teaching our Pakistani investigator, her parents offered us some breakfast. 

I was sick for an entire day prior to this and although I was scared I would vomit, I ate some of the food they graciously shared with us to show my gratitude. 

We also tried turning down their "tea" because we weren't sure if it was herbal or tea that we don't drink (language barrier is a real struggle sometimes), but epicly failed and although still skeptical at their reassurance that it was herbal....drank it.

Just doing things for the Kingdom I guess...... O.o

Little Rohan reads the Book of Mormon in Thai, his sister Jodti reads in English, and their parents read in Hindi because the Book of Mormon is not yet translated into Burmese. 

It's amazing to see their faith in doing their best to get over the language barrier to read the word of God!

Best Friends!!

This past week has been pretty hectic! Between being sick, and trying to see past language barriers, getting used to teaching in English and getting to know a new area... It's been busy. 

It's definitely different from any of my other areas, but it seems like it'll be an adventure! 

I am grateful to have a Father in Heaven who is mindful of all people. Every single person is a child of God!  

I excited to see what miracles are in store in this area...it's already off to a great start!! 

I am also grateful for the specific people that Heavenly Father places in each of our lives. He knows our needs and will place us with those who we need, and those who need us. 

How comforting it is to know that He will always send us help when we seek and plead for it and are diligent in keeping His commandments!

Wisconsin really is the best mission in the world!

Hello lovelies! :D

Monday: We went out to eat with the Kouba family at Lates. They had the best homemade cheese curds, onion rings and burgers! They also had the best milkshakes ever! Wisconsin really is the best mission in the world and America's dairyland! We went to see sister Gunderson who's so awesome! She knows everything about everything! She also lives in a mobile home located in a trailor park which is the coolest thing ever! 

Tuesday: We visited the Estradas, sister Maynard, sister Smotherman and Xavier so that Sister Wright could say her goodbyes. The Diehl's made Sister Wright her favourite meal for her last supper as they called it haha. They're the ones with the cool farm. We love them! We had district calls on our drive down to Waukesha. We stayed the night there with a bunch of other sisters that I love so that was a party! 

Wednesday: Sister Koyle and I drove down bright and early to the trainer's ,meeting at the Milwaukee South stake center. My heart jumped for joy when I got back to my old area. I love Muskego Lakes! I'm a mom! My baby is Sister Hendricksen from Spanish Fork, Utah. And guess what!? She's my dream child! She's a ginger with freckles! She's quiet but super sweet with just enough sass in there! She has great desires to learn and work hard so watch out Manny town! I also got to say bye to Nixi and Sister Poole who were done with their missions. I also got to see my recent convert Kathryn whom I adore. She's doing great! I'm out of time but I love you all!  Just remember that no matter where you're at in life that Christ is there for you to help you and lift you up. We can do anything with his help. We just need to rely on Him! I love and miss you all! xoxo <3

Saying Goodbyes to our amazing investigator, MEE Bao :')

This incredible woman has so much faith and trust that God will take care of her. 

Even though her husband won't let her go to church freely, she is trying her best to come unto Christ in the best ways she can. 

She is moving to Bangkok, but we know that one day our paths will cross again. 

Like she says, the Earth is round, we are bound to meet again :) 

She has full trust that Heavenly Father will send her missionaries again.

Potentially my last Zone Conference?! 

I was slightly caught off guard when President Johnson asked me to bear my joping (finishing, final) testimony since it's not certain that I'll be here for the next Zone Conference... 

I can't believe that I am down to my last transfer!! I never thought the day would come when it would be my turn to bear this testimony...

I have learned, grown, and witnessed so much on my mission! 

I refuse to believe that I only have less than 5 weeks left!

Today is Elder Brown's Birthday!

We started the day off with a game of soccer in matching uniforms :3 

This past week, I thought a lot about personal revelation.

I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for individually loving each one of His Children. 

He cares about the details of our lives, even the small ones. 

I am amazed each time I kneel down in prayer and can feel His hand in my life, guiding me to go in the right direction. 

I am grateful for the comfort and peace that comes with trusting in our Father in Heaven and for the ability to repent each and every day as we apply the atonement, and accept our Savior's hand. 

Life is Beautiful!!! ^^
