Getting Transfered!

Hey friends! :D I'm getting transferred to the Green Bay Zone! i will be serving in the Manitowoc zone with Sister Wright. At least i will get to see Lambo field where the packers play! i have just absolutely loved serving in the muskego lakes ward. The members here are so amazing!  They just have such a great love for the gospel and are so charitable. I have definately learned alot being here. I will miss Sister Poole as well. It has been a blessed three transfers with her. I know that the Lord is sending me to Manitowoc because im needed there and im excited to find out why. I had a bittersweet Sunday at church. It was hard saying goodbye but nice ot hear that i will be missed. We also had a cool miracles this Sunday. Our recent convert Kathryn's son came to church for the first time. He has been slowly warming up to us. He used to just stay in his roomw hen we would come over to share a message but now he kind of lingers and now he came to church. His daughter Deja who isnt a member btu comes often was introducing him to everyone so that was super cool to see! The new Light the World Christmas video is so awesome! I love it! ITs so true that were able to be a light to others and serve them just as Christ would. Im so grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ and his atonement and for all that he does for me everyday. Im also grateful for his example and for this short time that I ahve on my mission to just serve him and give him back just an ounce of what he has given me. I love you all and miss oyu so much! My mission is just the best experience of a lifetime! :D <3

never give up or get discouraged

Hello friends! :D This week has been full of miracles and blessings as always! im sorry im so terrible with my blogs. im trying to do better!

We has a great lesson with Jessica this week! Shes getting closer! i just love her! its just like meeting up with an old friend every time! We went to Kenosha for exchanges and I got to be with Sister Christensen who i came out with. I hadn't seen her since we arrived in Wisconsin so that was a great reunion. We had two phones and no keys so we ended up spending the night in the Kenosha apartment oops! :)

Sister Christensen and I got to teach many people today about the first vision which was awesome! It always strengthens my testimony when i'm able to testify of what I know to be true to others. We got to eat with the Maynes family. They're so awesome and fun! We had Asian food with peanut butter sauce which I love! We got to visit with Sister Heck and the Boehms because they had surgery. It's always nice to be able to partake of the Spirit in the homes of others. 

We had the Milwaukee south stake zone conference day which was awesome. its like a giant reunion! We got to hear a recent convert names Brother Jones share his conversion story. HE really just inspired us to never give up or get discouraged. He was so funny and bold. I loved every moment of it! 

We got to do crafts with the Miller family for Thanksgiving. Their dad is a member fromt he ward. It was super nice! We helped them write notes for people about why they're grateful for them. Then Sister Cook has us oevr with her family and we ate lots of turkey and stuffing and it was great!

The Handley's made us poutine for dinner yesterday and I thought i would just cry. Im really enjoying sharing the Christmas video with people. It really shows us how we can be Christiline by serving those around us. Check it out on mormon.org I love and miss you all! <3

CPR (church, pray, read) is the way to stay alive!

Hello lovelies! :D

Monday: We did a custard run as we went about our pday labours. Wait! Have I ever explained what custard is!? It's celestial food forsure! It's like the best ice cream that you've ever had but ten times better and creamier. America's dairlyand, gotta love her! We also went to see sister Coats who's homebound and so funny and sassy. Gotta love her! She even let us use her voicebox!

Tuesday: We had a super fun FHE with a part member family named the Millers. We were able to break brother Miller out of his shell a bit. He gets pretty competitive when we play games it's the best! They have the cutest little daughter. She's a redhead! The members of the Muskego Lakes ward are just so wonderful! We were pretty tired after a long lesson and we were headed home for dinner. Sister Rees invited us over for dinner right as we were headed home. We needed the Spirit in their home and them! So grateful for these members! 

Wednesday: We finally had our first district meeting! There's only one new member of the district who I actually came out with. It's been pretty sweet to be withthe same missionaries for awhile! We have a new senior couple in the district, the Johnsons. They have already served in Africa! Sister Johnson made us some delicious cinnamon rolls. We had a lesson with our recent convert Kathryn and her daughter named Kristina who were teaching now. We taught them about the importance of the basics! CPR (church, pray, read) is the way to stay alive! Kathryn is such a missionary! We're teaching her whole household and she's just such an example of faith. She just always presses forward with faith even when she's faced with some hard stuff! We had dinner with the office couple the Jepsons! It was so yummy! I just love them! They have been looking out for me since I was temporarily deported back to Canada haha. 

Thursday: Sister Smith was so sweet and printed out half of the conference talks for us! She's the best! We went to the bottom of our area which is huge haha ro visit brother Motta. He always has a bonfire and grills us food which is super sweet! We also finally got to visit some of our recent converts the Sobczaks this week. Those girls are just so funny! I just love em! We were able to get them a lift to church so they came! We had our correlation meeting and brother Greenfield the ward mission leader always keeps us laughing. We went to mutual at the Jacobs house who are from Ontario and it was super fun! We made enchilladas and tried out different hairstyles on each other.

Friday: We dropped by sister Rathke's house just to get to know her better today. We did service at the Bethesda thrift shop and sorted some clothes. It was fun! We had calls with the Elder Atkinson the district leader and he's so funny! Sister Cook one of the ward missionaries spoils so much! I just adore her! She took us out to Carrabas for Italian food! 

Saturday: We helped out with the ward rummage sale for a bit. They had so much stuff it was great! We taught Kristina and her fiancee and he has actually started to read The Book of Mormon which makes my heart so happy! We had dinner with the Smith family too they're awesome and she served a mission too! We got to meet the newest member of the Loutenstock family who is just so cute! 

Sunday: I got to see Andrea today who is a member that i met when serving in the Milwaukee First ward. She's now attending the West Allis ward which also meets in our building so I will be seeing more of her yay! We had dinner with the awesome Monties! They live right beside all kinds of farms so it's a ton of fun! We went to visit a sister Villeman from the Oak Creek ward and she's so awesome! She just has so much faith and served on temple square. Our ward boundaries got changed which makes me sad. We lost the Monks, the Jacobs, Ellsworth and Smiths. Oak Creek will be so blessed to have them though!

I'm so grateful for the Saviour. He's really just so loving and merciful and patient. I'm also so grateful for The Book of Mormon and how it testifies of Him. I love you all! <3 Sister Mansfield

Baptismal Date, Flash Flood, and Cheese Curds

Hello! :D So this week has been great! We set a baptismal date with our investigator Amy for October 29th and now we're just helping her overcome some addictions. Shes progressing great though! She can defs see the difference when she does the basics! We're going to meet her husband too this week so were excited! Sister Poole and I got caught in a flash flood after visiting brother Bartlett and we were soaked. It was great! Then we had dinner with the lovely Higgins family! We had lunch with Ssister clayton and her kiddos and I felt like we should knock this one door before we go and we met this super cute lady named Emily. It turns out that her aunt is battling cancer and the whole family is super stressed. IT was great to be able to pary with her and share the joyous message of the gospel of Jesus Christ! sister Cook took us out for breakfast too! I love the Muskego Lakes ward and cheese curds and custard and this work! Most importantly though i love my Saviour! Im so grateful for all of your support. Time fleis when your having fun! Love you all! <3

Mission Tour!

Hello! The highlight of this week was definitely the mission tour on Thursday. We had Elder Ringwood and Elder Cordon of the Seventy visit us. We combined with the Milwaukee north zone, and the two Madison zones. I saw almost everyone who I came out with which was a tender mercy since I haven't seen any of them since the day we got here. That was a tender mercy! Something that touched me from the conference was when Elder Ringwood reminded us that we need to see all those that we meet through the Lord's eyes. If they can feel our sincere love for them they will progress faster!

Also I got a new companion! I am on a roll! One companion each transfer so far! Meet Sister Poole! She's from Rigby, Idaho. She's a stellar missionary! She's so sweet and radiates the Spirit. She came out with my first Wisconsin companion Sister Gross. We're just having a lovely time together! 

Sister Poole and I have been getting to know so many new people from the ward list and ti feels great! We also taught this shirtless guy named Eric who had a mountain sheep dog that was as tall as me! We taught our investigator Jessica with sister Smith about the fruits of the Spirit. We were super excited when she told us thta she was recognizing answers to her prayers. She's os close! On exchanges wih Sister Nixon here in M uskego LAkes we did a otn of service and it felt great! We also got to talk about the needs of the ward with Bishop Olsen. He's great! We also got our recent convert Kathryn's daughter to start investigating the church and she even came Sunday! She said she would totally get baptized once she knows that what we teach is true! SO many miracles! I love you all! The Saviour lives! :D<3

District Meeting, Service, and an Interfaith Activity

Monday: We had dinner with the office couples the Jepsons and the Cesarinis. I love them so much! They treated us to Ferschs who had really great custard. I dont think I can ever go back to regular ice cream after bingeing on Wisconsin custard sorry folks haha! One of our ward missionaries sister Cook let us go over and teach her a member lesson. She's so awesome! She comes out with us a lot! We went to drop off one of our investigators names Kathy an audio version of The Book of Mormon before we turned into pumpkins!
Tuesday: District meeting was lovely as usual. Well just being with other missionaries is lovely! We went to the lovely little town of Waterford to meet Nicole and her family. They have relatives who are members in Utah and they really want this for their family. We just kind of got to know each other, establish our purpose and answer a few questions. Nicole was just eating up everything we told her. There was such a sweet spirit having the whole family sit in on the lesson. Sister Ellsworth fed us dinner and it was so yummy! She has a son serving in the Adriatic South mission and she feeds us weekly! She's the best! Then we traveled almost all the way to Chicago just kidding that would be out of mission bounds! Pretty close though! We went to Kenosha for exchanges!
Wednesday: I spent the day with the wonderful Sister Gross. It was just like old times since she was my first companion when I came to this mission. We definitely saw a ton of miracles. We talked to everyone and it was great! We met lots of cool people! We met this member named Ruth who's preparing to go to the temple and who recently quit smoking after years. She's a rockstar seriously! We had a family home evening with Kathy and sister Cook and sister Montie from the ward and it went super well. We ended with a game of apples to apples. It reminded me of home. So fun!
Thursday: We did service for a lady were teaching names Joann. We just helped her organize some cupboards and stuff. We taught her the restoration and she basically told us that she knows that what we have taught her so far is true. Sister Casas and I just kind of looked at each other like whoa! We went to see how Katherine was doing and feeling after her baptism and shes still so awesome! We had dinner with the Bishop Olsens family. They have eight kids and they are so much fun!
Friday: We do service at a thrift shop called Betheseda every Friday. We sort the incoming clothes. Sister Casas and I are always dying of laughter when we see some of those clothes oh boy! We visited with the Hall family and their little cute grandson. We had dinner with the Stockton family. Sister Stockton is hilarious! I love her! She reminds me of myself because she just tells it like it is! We visited our recent convert Miranda at her grandmothers house on a lake. It was beautiful!
Saturday: We spent most of the day at an interfaith activity. We had a fun time with the Oak Creek elders. It was really nice! We had yummy Indian food too! We had a lesson with Kathy. We had dinner with the Jacob family from Ontario. It was nice to talk Canada. They have the sweetest girls too! We visited Claudia in her nursing home. Shes the funniest! Shes a sassy one but oh my is she every lovable! she always brightens my day. We had a recent convert lesson with Katherine with Sister Cook and now were going to teach Katherine's granddaughter.
What a tender mercy!
Sunday: We had choir after church and then dinner with the Leo family. They were just so down to earth and wonderful. The members in Muskego Lakes are just so loving! I love them! We went to see the Smith family too to wish them a safe vacation!

Happy Canada day and fourth of July!

I am getting transferred! I am going to the Milwaukee South Zone! I will be serving in President Willams' ward which is Muskego Lakes. We have alot of the senior missionaries which will be so fun! I will be killing off sister Casas which just means she goes home at the end of the transfer. It is a bit intimidating to be in President's ward but the Lord knows what he's doing! I have enjoyed every minute in the Milwaukee First ward. The members are great! The people are just so humble and nice and they love the Lord. I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for me next! I have like no time but President and Sister Williams are awesome! Happy Canada day and fourth of July a little belated! :D <3
