Week 39 in Field!

This week has been crazy!
So much happened this past week and both my companion and I are so tired, it's hard to believe it's only been a week!
It feels more like a month has passed....

Here are some highlights from this week:

Monday FHE
We went over to the SonSai English room to help clean!
The SonSai English room is about a half hour drive out from the church, where our District Leader and his companion teach English on Tuesdays and teach investigators and members over in that area.
It's a little ways out and the rest of us missionaries don't usually venture out that far :)

Our awkward companionship of Elder Sun and Elder Saunders!
Gotta love 'em!

Elder Sun practicing his surfing skills on the soapy floor :P

I am so grateful to these YSA for being so willing to serve and sharing a spiritual message!
Their faith and charity are such a wonderful example to those who do not yet know Christ :)

Two days this week, we got to spend our day teaching English at an English Camp for elementary to middle school aged students.
We were a little disappointed at the lack of organization that seemed to have been put into the camp, but it was a lot of fun!
Some of the kids were really sweet and their smiles and appreciation for us made our hearts swell with joy :)
On Friday, we were the 'dancing and singing' station...we had to lead 52 rounds of the "Chicken Dance" and 64 rounds of the "Cha Cha Slide..."
We could barely walk the next day from all the sore muscles!
But it was so worth it to see the kids having fun!!^^

These girls were so stressed! So, we tried to lighten the mood and help them have fun learning present and past tense irregular verbs (ya..loads of fun, right?! =.= )
As a result, they just started giggling whenever we made eye contact for the rest of the day...
And each gave us a big hug after the closing ceremony!

This little boy was cheeky and decided to spell the word "love" out for us using their concentration playing cards

Elder Lor, our Zone Leader breaking the rules... :P
Just joking :3 He was only pretending to..

Celebrating Bang's birthday with our RC, Sister Nuan!

Sister Courchaine and I decided to serve our district by writing each missionary a little note!

We got Elder Sun and Elder Saunders animals that look just like them!!

We saw this lost soul...riding and talking to these stone elephants...

We taught one of our investigators, Sister Mai with a couple of awesome members, Sister Muay and Brother Bom!
Even though it was only their first time meeting this girl, they just poured out their love and shared their heartfelt testimonies.
I am so very grateful for the chance to serve with these amazing members!
They even treated us to dinner after the lesson, declaring that we were their daughters for the day! ;')

Sister Courchaine and I tried to eat healthier this week...
Our wallets are pretty sad, but our bodies definitely feel better!

For PDAY today, we woke up at 2am to go on an adventure up into the mountains to Doi Intanone to see the sunrise!

It was actually cold!!

<YAWN>

Into a mysterious forest we go!

Candid shot....we look FANTASTIC!

And...we couldn't see the sunrise because there was some dense fog...

Elder Sun trying to be the Sun in a midst of a cold, grey morning

O,.o ?

Peaceful Elder Saunders

FAMILY! :D

What a cute companionship! :P

My family is so in sync! We don't need to tell each other to have the same pose ;)
PEACE ^^

All of that and it wasn't even 11 in the morning!

Today was truly an amazing PDAY in which I could truly feel an appreciation for all of God's creations!
Nature is so magnificent and majestic!
I am so grateful for the knowledge of a loving Father in Heaven who has created this most beautiful Earth for the benefit of His Children.

Some scriptures that have been on my mind this week are found in 2 Timothy 1 : 7 - 9

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

With newly renewed courage and motivation, I want to rededicate myself to the Lord this week and power surge ahead!
Being a missionary might be tough, but I am so truly happy each and every day!
There are so many miracles that surround us.
We just need to open our eyes and see them!
